This 2-part documentary broadcast in 2007 was a mixed bag. Research was flakey: both parts began with a caption claiming that 250,000 people had died in the Bosnian war, though even ICTY demographers had revised their estimate down to 100,000 in 2004; the discredited ‘Freezer Truck” and ‘Skorpion video’ stories were both put forward as solid prosecution evidence.
But the clips from interviews with Lead Prosecutor Geoffrey Nice tell a story of their own – how in more than 3 years of hearings, featuring some 300 witnesses, the prosecution had failed to produce any substantive evidence to support its indictments.
This focuses on the prosecution’s ever-more-desperate attempts to make something from nothing.
