The video linked to below is a 23-minute section from the BBC2 Late Show broadcast on 21 January 1993. It has been converted from a VHS viewing copy. The 23 minutes were all that was on the tape. Video quality is not high, particularly for the first two minutes or so, but audio is generally clear. We have posted it because we believe the interviews shed light on the way that western journalists covering the Yugoslav conflicts thought and behaved. In particular, it is clear how little most of them knew of the history of Yugoslavia and the factors that led to the violence of the 1990s.
