
Edward Pearce was a¬†renowned Fleet Street leader writer and columnist from the 1970s to he mid-1990s, noted for his¬†vigorously independent views. When the Balkan conflicts became a focus of attention for the¬†international community, he was one of the very, very few journalists who dared to question the¬†official¬†orthodoxy – and did so on the basis of a real knowledge of the history of the region.
