Knowing of my interest in this subject, and my<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>skepticism\u00a0about the so-called &#8220;genocide,&#8221; readers from all over the world have\u00a0e-mailed me copies of the Guardian article and commentary about it.<\/p>\n<p>Justin Raimondo, ( http:\/\/www.antiwar.com ), wrote yesterday:\u00a0&#8220;Think of what this has to mean: Madeleine Albright, James Rubin, and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Jamie\u00a0Shea didn&#8217;t pull this off single-handedly. Not only the US government,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>but\u00a0the worldwide media fabricated a &#8220;genocide&#8221; and, on that basis,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>launched a\u00a0savage war against a sovereign nation that had never attacked us, in<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0name of &#8220;humanitarianism &#8211; a war, I might add, that was stopped but has<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>not\u00a0ended&#8221;.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>THE CASE OF THE MISSING CORPUS DELICTI<\/p>\n<p>In a sense, the NATO-crats have been tripped up by their own web of\u00a0propaganda: in their eagerness to charge Yugoslav strongman Slobodan\u00a0Milosevic with &#8220;war crimes,&#8221; and indict him before their self-appointed<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>&#8220;War\u00a0Crimes Tribunal,&#8221; Western governments have had to follow at least the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>forms\u00a0of legality: due process, the rules of evidence &#8211; and, in the case of\u00a0murder, not to mention &#8220;genocide,&#8221; the necessity of producing the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>corpus\u00a0delicti. Where are the bodies, all 100,000 of them?<\/p>\n<p>In a great fanfare of publicity last year, scores of forensic experts\u00a0flooded Kosovo searching for those 100,000 bodies. At least one<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>thousand ofthem were supposed to be in the Trepca mine, according to the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Albanians. Not\u00a0a single body was found in the Trepca mine.<\/p>\n<p>But the true nature of the Kosovo war was never a secret. Any<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>journalist\u00a0willing to do some independent research had more than ample evidence<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>thatClinton&#8217;s so-called &#8220;Humanitarian War&#8221; to stop a &#8220;genocide&#8221; was a lie.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0U.S. State Department, independent scientists and Interpol, Europe&#8217;s\u00a0international police investigators ALL knew that the so-called &#8220;Kosovo\u00a0Liberation Army&#8221; or KLA was the military wing of Europe&#8217;s major drug<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>cartel.<\/p>\n<p>On the day Clinton started the bombing, March 23, 1999, I wrote:\u00a0&#8220;Today, without a vote in the Congress or the UN, President Clinton has<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0effect declared war on Yugoslavia, which is approximately the size of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0State of Kentucky. He is providing the Air Support the KLA lacks.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Kosovo,\u00a0which is demanding independent status, is about 4,000 square miles<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>which is\u00a0about one tenth of Yugoslavia. The KLA is composed largely of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>non-Albanian\u00a0mercenaries who are financed with the Kosovo-Albanian heroin trade in\u00a0Scandinavia, Italy, and the Czech Republic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Part of the successive effort to convince the American people that we<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>needed\u00a0to bomb Yugoslavia was the Clinton Administration&#8217;s cunning scheme to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>change\u00a0the meaning of the word &#8220;genocide.&#8221; That too was not hard to discern<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>early\u00a0in the bombing.<\/p>\n<p>On March 29, 1999 I wrote:\u00a0&#8220;Undersecretary James Rubin said on CNN yesterday that the Serbs were\u00a0&#8220;committing genocide&#8221; by driving Albanians out of their homes and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>telling\u00a0them to leave the province. The Albanian population is said to be<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>1,800,000\u00a0and the Serb population of Kosovo 200,000. However, at the borders, CNN\u00a0reports a &#8216;trickle&#8217; of refugees &#8211; guessing that the Albanians are too\u00a0terrified to leave their homes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of those stories &#8211; or perhaps both of them are wrong. That&#8217;s not a\u00a0problem for James Rubin. He appears to have changed the definition of\u00a0genocide anyway. The Dictionary definition of genocide is &#8216;the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>deliberate\u00a0and systematic extermination of a national or racial group.&#8217; Rubin says<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0genocide &#8216;includes&#8217; driving people out of their homes and forcing them<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>to go\u00a0somewhere else.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If that is the case, that opens up a whole new set of &#8216;war crimes&#8217; &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0example, the Croatians driving something like 700,000 Serbs out of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Croatia a\u00a0couple of years ago. With Rubin&#8217;s new definition of &#8216;genocide&#8217; Croatian\u00a0President Tudjman is a war criminal. There were only about a million<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Serbs\u00a0IN Croatia.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On the other hand, Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-NJ) said yesterday on<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>CNN\u00a0that if Milosevic doesn&#8217;t sign the document written, apparently, by the\u00a0United States and presented to him in Paris for his signature, the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Clinton\u00a0administration will &#8220;destroy his nation.&#8221; When a nation is destroyed,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0course, it isn&#8217;t the head of the country who suffers. It&#8217;s the people<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>whose\u00a0houses, places of worship, schools and jobs that are destroyed. Many of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0people remaining in Kosovo, for example, will be killed.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the support of senators like Lieberman, who may be rewarded<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>by the\u00a0American people this fall with a boost in his status to Vice-President,Clinton was able to bomb Yugoslavia INCLUDING Kosovo for 79 days,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>destroying\u00a0hospitals, factories, schools, homes, water and power plants. Why?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Because\u00a0Milosevic would not sign a document in Rambouillet agreeing to allow<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>NATO\u00a0troops free reign in ALL of Yugoslavia, not just Kosovo.<\/p>\n<p>And who, really, WERE the people fleeing Kosovo after the bombing<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>began?Actually, just about anyone who could, Serbs as well as Albanians.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>However,\u00a0what CNN and other major news sources never reported was the fact that<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0huge proportion, probably a third, of the Albanians living in Kosovo<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>were\u00a0illegal aliens who had fled across the mountain when the Communist<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>regime inAlbania collapsed and then its economy collapsed, leaving 70% of the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>workers\u00a0unemployed. In April 1999 I point that out:<\/p>\n<p>Today in Kosovo, there is a much LARGER Albanian population than there<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>was\u00a0in March of 1999 because KFOR has allowed anyone to stream across the\u00a0border. So many of the so-called &#8220;refugees&#8221; in Kosovo now, living on<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the Aid\u00a0provided by over 600 international organizations and nations, never<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>lived\u00a0there before while most of the non-Albanians &#8211; Serbs, Gypsies, (Roma),\u00a0Egyptians, Montegegrines, Jews &#8211; have been driven out in order to make<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>room\u00a0for the invading horde from Albania.<\/p>\n<p>The American media reported none of that. But, in May, after the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>American\u00a0bombers bombed a Belgrade hospital, wiping out its maternity wing, we<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>saw,\u00a0thanks to Yugoslav TV, images of medical personnel trying to save tiny\u00a0babies in incubators after the electrical system had been destroyed. Areporter in Brussels asked NATO spokesman Jamie Shea about it and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Shea&#8217;s\u00a0answer was:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;President Milosevic has got plenty of back-up generators. His armed<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>forces\u00a0have hundreds of them. He can either use these back-up generators to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>supply\u00a0his hospitals, his schools, or he can use them to supply his military.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>His\u00a0choice. If he has a big headache over this, then that is exactly what<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>we\u00a0want him to have and I am not going to make any apology for that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Secondly, I don&#8217;t know if anybody realizes this. It&#8217;s not often<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>remembered\u00a0but over 50% of the refugees in Albania and the former Yugoslav<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Republic ofMacedonia are under 18 years of age. Children, or at least adolescents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>40%\u00a0are under 14 years of age. 20,000 are under one year old and at least\u00a0100,000 babies have been born since this crisis in March in those<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>refugee\u00a0camps, without incubators, without electricity, without medical<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>support,\u00a0without water, without a roof over their heads, with absolutely<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>nothing. And\u00a0therefore they are still considerably less fortunate than those babies<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>inBelgrade. NATO doesn&#8217;t wish any harm to any baby but let&#8217;s make it<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>clear\u00a0here, the suffering, the real suffering, not the TV images, but the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>real\u00a0suffering is in this business overwhelmingly on the side of the Kosovar\u00a0Albanians who don&#8217;t have the choice, unfortunately, between an<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>incubator\u00a0with electricity supplied by President Milosevic or an incubator<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>without\u00a0electricity. They simply have no incubator because they have been<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>forced out\u00a0of their homes and into fields.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The top reporters in the world were in that room. Not one of them<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>challenged\u00a0this story. I pointed out that it was a mathematical impossibility for\u00a0100,000 babies to have been born in those refugee camps in 2 months<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>time.\u00a0According to the UN figures, 60% of the refugees were children. The<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>five\u00a0refugee camps only HELD 77,000 people totally. At least 40% of the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>adult\u00a0refugees were men, (CNN reporting notwithstanding) and not all the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Albanian\u00a0women were of child-bearing age and nine months pregnant when the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>bombing\u00a0started. So, we were told by NATO&#8217;s top propagandist, in effect that<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>refugee\u00a0camps that were occupied by approximately 27,000 adult women somehow\u00a0managed, in a space of two months, to produce 100,000 babies. And to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>this\u00a0day, I have not seen a challenge of that figure from any journalist<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>besides\u00a0me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And, exactly who was it now that was responsible for the people fleeing\u00a0Kosovo? In that same article I also noted:\u00a0&#8220;And who is it that has forced the Albanians out of their homes? Has<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>anyone\u00a0noticed, besides me, that every time NATO brags about increasing and\u00a0intensifying the air strikes that a new batch of Albanians arrive at<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0borders for the Western nations to take care of? When a few days go by\u00a0without bombs in Kosovo, the flow of refugees slows to a trickle or<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>stops.\u00a0Are we all supposed to be too stupid to notice that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The report in the Guardian that is only now being reported is old news.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>I\u00a0wrote a year ago, in August 1999: &#8220;NATO&#8217;s 100,000 Kosovo Deaths<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Shrinking to3000-6000 Deaths and asked a simple question seemingly ignored by the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>world\u00a0media: &#8220;Where are the graves of the KLA terrorists who died in the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>ground\u00a0war between them and the Yugoslav army?&#8221; Now we find that fewer than<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>3000\u00a0bodies have been found by the forensic experts. But exactly who ARE<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>those\u00a03000 bodies? How many of them died in battles with the Yugoslav army?<\/p>\n<p>Milosovic himself put the Yugoslav army deaths from the ground war with<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0KLA and the bombs dropped by NATO at 476. We know that some of the KLA\u00a0soldiers died when NATO bombs dropped on them.\u00a0I pointed out a year ago that the best kept secret in the war was where<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0KLA soldiers\/terrorists were buried and how many there were. I get<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>e-mail\u00a0from many sources, and one of them has been KLA supporters in Kosovo. I\u00a0asked a couple of them how many KLA soldiers died. On three different\u00a0occasions I was told 2,000.<\/p>\n<p>During the bombing I was not only criticized for my skepticism of NATO\u00a0propaganda, but was told on more than one occasion to stop writing<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>those\u00a0stories. People in my own family refuse to believe the extent to which<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>they\u00a0were lied to about the Serbs.<\/p>\n<p>The hard fact of the matter is that, using the definition put forth by<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0U.S. State Department&#8217;s Jamie Shea when the bombing began in March<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>1999, the&#8221;genocide&#8221; taking place in the Balkans has been led by none other than<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>thePresident of the United States, Bill Clinton, supported by the American<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>TV\u00a0Networks and major newspapers, plus most of official Washington, D.C. -Democrats and Republicans, although many Republicans wanted to adhere<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>to the\u00a0U.S. Constitution and the Democrats wanted to totally ignore it. Some\u00a0Republicans, among them Bob Dole for whom I voted in 1996, have<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>received\u00a0hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds from the Albanian<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>lobbying America. Other Republicans have Albanian\/KLA sympathizers on their<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>staffs\u00a0and their policies reflect a strong anti-Serb bias.<\/p>\n<p>However, as one of the House Impeachment managers pointed out, &#8220;Facts<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>are\u00a0stubborn things.&#8221; Eventually we have to face them. Sometimes it takes<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>years\u00a0or generations.
