The video linked to below is a 23-minute section from the BBC2 Late Show broadcast on 21 January 1993. \u00a0It has been converted from a VHS viewing copy. \u00a0The 23 minutes were all that was on the tape. \u00a0Video quality is not high, particularly for the first two minutes or so, but audio is generally clear. \u00a0We have posted it because we believe the interviews shed light on the way that western journalists covering the Yugoslav conflicts thought and behaved. \u00a0In particular, it is clear how little most of them knew of the history of Yugoslavia and the factors that led to the violence of the 1990s.<\/p>\n
